With school picking up at Indiana University, recruitment events for the Interfraternity Council have begun. Greek life plays a key role in helping Indiana University Dance Marathon fulfill its mission.

Each year, IFC chapters partner with Indiana University Dance Marathon to open the first week of recruitment and raise money for the kids and families at Riley Hospital for Children.

The annual event, known as Philo Week, has grown in participation throughout the years. With an increasing number of students enrolling at IU and rising participation in IFC events, 26 chapters took part in the third rendition of the 2026 fundraising week.

The IFC Vice President of Philanthropy Nate Modico was also a member of the Riley Development committee and helped combine IUDM and Greek life for this event to support Riley Hospital for Children.

Red bucket events were held in the evenings Tuesday through Friday to collect money for Riley Hospital for Children. This year, the fraternities participating in the fundraising push raised a total of around $15,206.

Thank you to everyone that participated in Philo Week 2026! Whether you are a member of one of the 26 fraternities that participated or someone that donated, all efforts culminate to the Philo week total going straight to Riley Hospital for Children.
