Welcome back to campus! We are so glad you are interested in joining IU Dance Marathon.
Get to Know Us
IU Dance Marathon is the largest student organization on campus and raises money for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Last year IUDM raised $3 million for the kids. We fundraise all year, starting in January, and conclude with our 36 Dance Marathon event that will be November 7th-9th this year. We don’t run, we dance only to celebrate and have fun, and we definitely take breaks and sleep throughout the 36 hours—no one is expected to stay the whole time!
Membership Options

If you are a freshman (or want an introduction into IUDM)…
You will join our First Year Dance Experience (FYDE) group. Meetings are every Wednesday at 8pm in three different locations on campus. We split the campus into their dorm neighborhoods to ensure there is a location close to everyone. However, you can attend the meeting in whatever location you want; for example, if you have a friend in another neighborhood, we encourage you to attend together! If you are not a freshman…
You have the opportunity to join one of our 18 committees. Each committee has a unique job; to read about the options, visit iudm.org/committees. Please note that some committees have filled all their spaces for this year but there are still plenty of spaces so make sure to sign up using iudm.org/apply. Meetings for committees take place on Tuesday or Wednesday nights, usually at 8pm, depending on the committee.
